Long time, no newsletter. It’s me Thea (formerly Gail Butterworth-Bridges). I’ve decided I want to do some experimenting with different forms of writing this year and to all you lucky readers, this is my canvas. I actually intended to leave up my old Gail satire pieces in an attempt to embrace my previous writing instead of trying to burn it immediately as is common ritual, but I deleted it by mistake. Whoops! I also think when I send out this newsletter I have also deleted all my old subscribers so this is actually arriving in nobody’s inbox…but it can serve as an introduction for future readers (hopefully). Anyway this year I want to learn and try out new things. That might mean some satire pieces, some listicles, some confessional essays, some horror short stories or even murder mysteries! A smorgasbord of which there will be no rhyme or reason and definitely no consistent timing. I also plan on reading (watching on YouTube) different advice and exercises from a range of various writers so you’ll maybe see some copycatting of people, some sharp U-turns in style, some wild successes and some enormous failures. I’ve decided to shamelessly not care :) It can only help me learn! Also if anyone has any good prompts or wants to share similar stuff then please send on over. I’m all ears, fingers and toes.
Toot toot! All aboard the cross-disciplinary literary train.
Cannot WAIT!
